Usually, the epoxy can be popped off the length of the crack and it is invisible. The wax along the edges of the crack make clean-up pretty easy. With the cracked area warm and the edges waxed I mix some slow curing epoxy. If I am concerned about structural issues I will drill tiny holes at each end of the crack (though I realize I have little idea which way the crack goes under the surface and the holes are probably of little real value).
